It saddens me that it is only now that I’ve finally up and gone that you’ve realized just how much I really loved you and just how much I did to make you happy. Why is it that you waited until I was over you and had moved on to finally realize what you lost? I wish you’d done something to change our fate when I still loved you… but it’s too late now. Please know that I will always love you in a way and I’m wishing only good things for you. We didn’t work out as a couple but I hope we can consider ourselves friends forever. You will always be a special person who taught me valuable lessons about life and love. I’ll never regret the time we had together and I hope you never will either. I learned from you what I do and don’t want out of a relationship and I think we both did a lot of growing up whilst we were together – it’s just that we grew in different directions. It’s important to remember that whatever we are thinking and feeling may not always be correct. We are, after all, human and we do misinterpret things or make mistakes sometimes. Often when we are angry or at a low point emotionally we don’t see things the way they really are. But it’s okay… because our mistakes help to make us a better person. No one is ever perfect and nor can they ever be… Everyone is flawed and our mistakes and misconceptions help us learn things and adapt a better outlook on life… Every time we realize a truth, we are unraveling another one of life’s mysteries. We should never allow ourselves to be knocked down by the hardness of life but should instead learn to face it, fight it and move on gracefully.
