WE MUST MOVE ON

Why do we get so upset and become saddened when the people we love ignore us and take us for granted? Why do we think about them all the time even when thoughts of us never cross their mind? Why do we still give them topmost priority even when we are always the last on their list? I know that love is said to weaken a person but does it really have to be to a point where we forget about our own self-importance our very identity? Love is meant to be a two sided affair… it can never reach its potential unless both people feel the same and place the same level of priority on each other. Unless feelings are truly reciprocated and requited, the one sided feelings a person can have for another cause only pain and torment. Sooner or later for our own good, we must move on.

I know you don't always enjoy being a part of my endless conversations... When falling for someone, always make sure that your feelings are respected and reciprocated. Love takes time to grow yes… but too much time leads to nothing more than pain and heartaches. Don’t underestimate yourself and never waste your feelings on someone who doesn't deserve them. Unrequited love can break you and broken hearts may heal eventually, but the pain and scars remain forever. Never let anyone hurt you in the name of love… Never let anyone play with your feelings… Never let anyone use you in the name of love. Love someone with all of your heart but only if they love you the same way, otherwise you are simply being used.

PUTTING YOURSELF FIRST

When we love we love unconditionally and wholly, without any ifs and buts. Our love is given freely and abundantly... We give the precious gift of time which we can never get back because a relationship is a part of our life which will never be reversed. We strive to do everything for a loved one, even when it’s not easily within our reach and we try to keep them happy and give them everything they could ever dream of. We hope that we will find our happiness in their happiness and in that way all that we give will be returned to us and all our selflessness will be rewarded. But sometimes we invest so much of ourselves into them that we become dependent on them for our own happiness because we’ve made them our whole and in doing all this we’ve forgotten ourselves completely. Without even realizing we have placed ourselves back stage where no one sees our desires or cares for our needs. And this is when we finally realize that sometimes it’s important to put ourselves first so we too can achieve happiness.

I loved you with all my heart, and I still do... but I can't come begging to you for anything you don't want to willingly give me. If you really love me I should never have to ask you for your attention or time... but it seems I always do. In order to be loved, taken care of and respected you have to give the same to your partner. You can't expect love and care and understanding if you don't stand by them in their time of need just as you can't expect someone to give you their time if you never spare any time for them. A relationship is a two-way street… if you won't give your full attention TO someone you cannot expect it FROM them. Most people will not beg for your time and attention but will look for other things to keep them busy instead… You can’t ask someone to give away their self-respect. If your relationship is the most important thing to you then you won’t give your lover reasons to be angry or cry… Instead, you will give them everything they deserve without being asked. That's the real essence of LOVE… when it is given freely and abundantly.

NEVER CHASE LOVE

Never beg anyone for time or attention they are not willing to give you freely. Anyone who truly loves you will always make time for you out of their busy schedule no matter what. Always remember that if someone wants to spend their life with you, they will always respect you and will never make you feel unwanted or undesired. A person who truly believes in you and trusts you will make you an integral part of their and will always keep you informed about the goings on in their lives. Real love never has to be chased or asked for; if it’s not given to you freely then it was never truly yours. If your feelings are not being reciprocated and your calls for love are not being answered then each of you are with the wrong person and the sooner you understand that the less pain this unrequited love will cause you in the long term.

But it’s never happened… you always take my words the wrong way and twist them into something else. What if we got a chance to rewrite the stories of our life? What if we were given the power to change everything that has happened in our lives..?? What if we were granted a choice of having everything we want... whatever we like in it?? I know I would erase all the bad things I’ve experienced… all the wrong things I did and would change my whole life into a happy never-ending fairy tale… But then there wouldn't be anything to remember… there’d be nothing to cherish because there’d be no important memories and no heartaches to make them special... I wouldn't be what I am today because it is everything together – the good and the bad - that teaches us the real meaning of life. If there weren't any pain or tears in our lives we’d never get to know the meaning of happiness. If there weren't any heartbreaks we shouldn't cherish true love. She doesn't want just ANY guy…she wants someone to watch her adoringly when she's smiling with her friends and doing stupid things, someone who can brush her hair back from her face… someone who randomly kisses her or texts her saying he misses her after only hours have passed. WHEN THE GAP BECOMES TOO VAST

We do things for the people we love and we do find pleasure doing things for them… but sometimes no matter what we do, it is never enough for them. It is as though they don't understand our love and our dedication to them, but instead, try to find faults in everything we do. They never appreciate our efforts... never reciprocate our feelings. It is as if they think they have a right to us and hence continues to demand without even realizing that love needs to be reciprocated - because if love is not requited, the feelings die and what remains is just a formality. With time, even that formality ends when it becomes more pain than pleasure. Eventually, we stop doing things for them and start thinking about our own happiness which we kept putting aside while trying to make them happy. And by the time they realize their mistakes... the gap between you has widened so much that it becomes difficult to recover from it.

LEARN FROM BAD CHOICES

Don't regret anything in your life - it’s too short to waste time on that. If a decision you made or a road you took lead you down a negative path, learn what you can from it so it never happens again. Remember that life isn't a game you can start over and make different choices so there's no possible way to navigate your way though it without making any mistakes. The best you can do is learn from them to improve your decision-making abilities and in that way, allow them to guide you to better outcomes in future decisions. The past is out of your control but a better future is still out there waiting for you to choose it.

NEVER FORGET YOUR ROOTS”

The moment you came into being is the moment they became parents and their life changed completely. From that moment on everything became focused on you... their dreams, their desires and their focus – it all became about you. All their time and thought went into you... they prepared a good life for you and put themselves second as you became their topmost priority. Your parents brought you into this world and gave you everything you needed to give you the best opportunity they could. They gave you the best in the hopes that you would become the best human being. They never held you back, but gave you wings to fly, as all they wanted was to see you happy and on the top of the world. They wanted to be known by the reputation of your name, so they never stopped you from achieving your goals and dreams. But in your pursuit of greatness… while flying so high… you forgot about them. I love you, but that doesn't give you the right to control me. Always remember that it is my choice to make you my number one priority. It doesn't mean I have nothing else in my life, it simply means you are more important to me than anything else. It's my love for you that gives you such importance and for that reason you cannot take it for granted. I want you to love me, cherish me and treasure me in return as I do you. I want you to respect my feelings and be appreciative of the time I give you by pushing aside other priorities in my life. Relationships come to an end when we stop putting any effort into them. All too often we start taking our partners for granted, thinking they will never leave us or will never stop loving us. We continue to take them for granted... we ignore them, leave them alone for long periods or don't call and message them as often. Sometimes we leave them alone on their own and get busy with other priorities so much that at times we completely forget about them altogether. Worst of all – we’re not there when they need us they may just think that because our priorities towards them have changed, our feelings have too. It’s easy to forget that love always needs attention and care. You can't take your love for granted and expect them to be with you when you need them... no one waits around forever - everyone gets tired of waiting eventually. If you maintain the same effort into maintaining your relationship as you did to win them in the first place, there will never be an end to a loving relationship. Never change your priorities and make your love feel they are no longer important to you.

I’VE MOVED ON

It saddens me that it is only now that I’ve finally up and gone that you’ve realized just how much I really loved you and just how much I did to make you happy. I’LL NEVER FORGET YOU

Please know that I will always love you in a way and I’m wishing only good things for you. We didn’t work out as a couple but I hope we can consider ourselves friends forever. MISTAKES ARE SIMPLY LESSONS IN DISGUISE

It’s important to remember that whatever we are thinking and feeling may not always be correct. We are, after all, human and we do misinterpret things or make mistakes sometimes. Often when we are angry or at a low point emotionally we don’t see things the way they really are. But it’s okay… because our mistakes help to make us a better person. No one is ever perfect and nor can they ever be… Everyone is flawed and our mistakes and misconceptions help us learn things and adapt a better outlook on life… Every time we realize a truth, we are unraveling another one of life’s mysteries. We should never allow ourselves to be knocked down by the hardness of life but should instead learn to face it, fight it and move on gracefully.
